Two days seed storage training conducted in Khokana

Jiwanta Nepal successfully completed two days seed storage training from December 19, 2015 to December 20, 2015 in Khokana, Lalitpur. The program was brought in collaboration with Karyabinayak Municipality, Saibu and Seed Storage Committe, Khokana. Thirty one women from Khokana Community participated in the training.

The training was second round of program of seed distribution to establish the seed banking concept in Khokana. The program was conducted by Suja Giri, Prasuj Mainali, Ashish Khanal and Shekha Narayan Maharjan, executive members of Jiwanta Nepal. The program was facilitated by Krishna Bhagat Maharjan, the local inhabitant of Khokana. A field visit was also the part of session to identify the problems faced by farmers and explore the possibilities for commercial farming in the area. The participants were served with local Newari dish at the end.
